Our official council machinist, Terry Butterworth (PGK), is fabricating new cemetery flag holders to honor our deceased brothers. The innovative design will feature a sturdy metal support structure to secure each flag, combined with a unique placard which will provide a worthy recognition of membership in our Order. We are excited to properly memorialize our brothers by placing these redesigned markers on their gravesites this May. Stay tuned…more information about this project (plus a few “sneak peek” pics) will be posted in the coming weeks. Tempus Fugit…Memento Mori.

Saints Peter and Paul Council #17278 recently expanded our Spiritual Resources to include the “Building the Domestic Church Kiosk”.
Located near the entrance door at the front of the church, this kiosk is stocked with a variety of engaging, faith-based pamphlets to enhance an individual’s and/or family’s religious experience and is available to parishioners, visitors, and the general public. These pamphlets are presented in an easy-to-read format and are available at no charge. Donations are appreciated.
**Please Note: The kiosk has been temporarily relocated to the Parish Hall. You will find the kiosk fully stocked with beautiful religious reading material and positioned near the coat rack in the entrance vestibule. All are invited to take advantage of this free resource.
The Saints Peter and Paul Knights of Columbus is introducing a monthly 50/50 lottery beginning in June. Each “rip-off” style ticket contains 10 numbers (10 chances to win) and will pay $100 to the lucky winner. The winning number will be determined by the official Pennsylvania Lottery PICK 3 drawing held at 7:00 p.m. on the last day of the month. Tickets are $2.00 apiece and only 100 tickets will be sold each month. The first drawing will take place on June 30, 2022, and the winning ticket must be turned in to one of our Knights to collect your $100. Tickets are on sale now. Click here to learn more.
| Dear Brother Knights, Your immediate action is necessary to protect pro-life laws! This week, the United States Senate will vote on the “Women’s Health Protection Act,” deceptively named legislation that would cancel state pro-life laws and codify Roe v. Wade as the law of the land. Further, the bill would not provide meaningful religious exemptions, thus forcing Catholic medical professionals and hospitals to perform, or participate in, abortions. Not only is this legislation bad public policy, but its provisions are also deeply unpopular with the American people. Our 2022 Knights of Columbus/Marist Poll found that more than 70% of Americans would limit abortion to, at most, the first three months of pregnancy. Additionally, almost two-thirds of Americans believe that abortion should either be illegal or determined at the state level. Finally, 75% believe that doctors and nurses should be able to follow their consciences and not be forced to perform abortions. Our bishops have asked everyone to contact both of their U.S. Senators to speak out against this bill. I urge you to visit the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ action center today and register your opposition to this bill which would make abortion-on-demand the law of the land. Thank you for taking action to support life! Fraternally, Patrick E. Kelly Supreme Knight |
