On December 20th, members of Saints Peter & Paul Council, along with those from neighboring councils (Osceola Mills, Houtzdale, and Clearfield), went on the road to deliver Christmas presents filled with household necessities, appliances, and gift cards to deserving families in the area. A yearly event, the Christmas deliveries are collected, packaged and orchestrated by Bethany Retreat (Anawim Ministries) in Frenchville, PA. All items are donated by local individuals and businesses, and are hand delivered by our Knights to families who are truly in need. Vivat Jesus!
Saints Peter & Paul Council was recently honored by a visit from Worthy Pennsylvania State Advocate, Douglas Fleming, who praised our council for its myriad accomplishments this fraternal year. Grand Knight, Jim Burns, accepted the awards for service excellence in the categories of Faith, Community, Life, and Public Relations. The council was selected for recognition from among all Knights of Columbus Councils in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the recent 127th Annual State Convention in Pittsburgh. We thank the PA State Council and Brother Fleming for this outstanding honor. Vivat Jesus!
