Fall Food Drive – Kickoff

We have officially begun our “Fall Food Drive.”  With this year’s “Fall-Fest” celebration cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns, we hope that this drive will help redirect the positive, charitable enthusiasm that our parish experiences during our annual Fall-Fest towards supporting our community food pantry.  Much like our “40 Cans for Lent” program, we hope to collect generous amounts of food donations for our local Community Action food bank.  We have left our food goal undesignated, but the record to beat is the 1,237 pounds of food that our 40 Cans drive collected.  We will continue to track the success of our collections regularly via the “thermometer” scales on our signage.  We will be running our Fall Food drive through the Advent season in order to help Community Action with their usual holiday supply needs.  Depending on the volume of the donations received, we will need Knights to help weigh and transport the donations once a week (or more) for the duration of the drive.
